It was a pleasure for LOATAD to organise and moderate a panel discussion on behalf of the British High Commission for Africa Gender Month.
“What Does It Mean to be a Woman in Ghana Today?” brought together a stellar panel of dynamic Ghanaian women that cut across class, religion, sexuality and gender identity, and dis/ability to explore the challenges and joys of Ghanaian womanhood, and was a continuation of a dialogue first initiated as part of LOATAD’s WomanFest Ghana festival last year.
Yesterday’s discussion was such a powerful exchange full of learning that everyone took something positive from away and we look forward to extending the conversation further.
Many thanks to High Commissioner, Harriet Thompson and Susan Mensah for making the space for such a necessary conversation to happen.
