Library Of Africa and The African Diaspora

Caribbean-American poet, Aja Monet, held two poetry workshops at LOATAD in January 2022: Freed Between The Lines and Shift: I Am She, a women-only workshop. Both workshops were oversubscribed with long waiting lists, and attendees came from as far afield as the Volta Region and the Ashanti Region.

The workshops were interactive and participatory. Attendees were invited to share their stories in a safe, non-judgemental space.
