
LOATAD’s Self-Funded, Self-Directed Residency runs throughout the year, except for the months of December – January and July – August, for a minimum of four weeks/one month, with the option to extend depending on availability.
The Residency is self-directed, with the opportunity to request specific workshops/mentoring and participate in pre-organised events at the library. Residents are encouraged to make full use of the library’s resources, as well as LOATAD’s community, which is made up of a diverse group of people from across Ghana, Africa, and the world.
The residency includes
- A private, self-contained room (own bathroom)
- WiFi
- Access to the library during certain hours
- Access to shared spaces (main space, dining and living areas, outdoor space, etc.)
- Opportunity to attend workshops/events at the library
- Promotion of you and your work through our social media channels
- Opportunity to work in local community projects we are involved in
- An event to showcase your work (subject to availability)
- Connections with the local cultural scene

$1000 USD a month (**A 10% discount is available for bookings of two full months or more)
